While many of us enjoy a nice hot cup of refreshing tea, I bet you also never thought it might be doing you some good. Quite a lot of good as many studies have found, which includes those of us looking for ways to lose weight.

The whole weight loss or weight control arena is awash with products and the latest fad diets which are flavor of the month. I'm sure we've all tried many of them with mixed results. How reassuring then to hear about a naturally derived product like green tea that is being promoted as an aid to weight loss.

Green tea fat burner is not going to be some magical formula to losing those pounds as whatever diet you follow, you must still somehow achieve the goal of using or burning more calories than those you consume.

That's where the green tea bit comes in, as without trying to get into the whole scientific bit too much about why it works, some of the existing studies and research have made interesting reading.

It seems that there's something inside green tea which makes our bodies burn up those calories at a much faster rate than had we not consumed the tea.

One particular study that caught my eye which was produced by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition looked quite convincing. It proved that for the group of people who all drank the green tea on a regular basis, over a period of three months there was a decrease in their body fat.

It appears that the ingredient which is referred to as Catechin is responsible for triggering this reduction.

However, this does not mean that you can simply lounge about and drink green tea, to lose weight. There needs to be some movement and any form of movement or gentle exercise is required to able to make a difference.

For those of us who take an interest in controlling their weight and in making sure we get adequate nutrients by taking supplements, there are ones available now that already include a green tea extract within its list of ingredients.

Surely then, the easiest way to make sure we get both the nutritional and dietary benefits at the same time.
